In order to recognize the sacrifices of Shuhada and to support their families, Virtual University is offering tuition fee concession for Spouses / Children of Shuhada of Armed Forces / Law Enforcement Agencies on submission of formal recommendations duly issued/signed by an authorized officer of respective department/agency subject to following conditions;

  1. The concession in tuition fee will be applicable on all offered certificates/diploma/degree programs of the University.
  2. Tuition fee concession will be granted under the said policy on a merit basis.
  3. The tuition fee concession shall be valid for one semester only.
  4. In order to remain eligible in subsequent semester (s), the student must meet minimum criteria of VU Need-Based Scholarship rules (“Rules” herein called “Students Scholarship Regulations; 2015”). The link is copied below for reference:

  1. Concession will be allowed to spouse and unemployed children of Shaheed.
  2. Security fee and all other dues (if any) will be charged at the prescribed rates of the University.

General Instructions about Virtual University Admission Fall 2020:-
  • Candidates can apply Online only through the VU website (Printed form will not be accepted).
  • Candidates credentials e.g. Name, Father’s Name and Date of Birth must be written as per Matriculation Certificate.
  • Academic qualification (Registration Number, Roll Number, Marks, Pass out Year) and CNIC number must be written accurately as mentioned on the candidate’s official academic documents and CNIC respectively.
  • The attached Photograph with signature must be as per specification.
  • The attached documents must be complete, clear, and readable.
  • Be sure that you have filled the admission application correctly and uploaded complete credentials before clicking the submit button. Once the admission application is submitted then there will be NO edit option available in the system.
  • Incomplete/wrongly filled applications will not be marked as Incomplete but straightforwardly rejected and such applicants may submit a new admission application with a new Prospectus serial number/fee voucher.
  • The Virtual University Campus once selected will not be changed after submission of admission form during the admission process.
  • Applicants may purchase Prospectus for session Fall 2020 from any Virtual Campus, be sure the scratch code on the prospectus is INTACT. Old prospectuses will not be usable.
  • If the applicant buys the prospectus Fall 2020, then use prospectus serial number and scratch code. The System will accept Admission Application(s) only with prospectus serial number and respective scratch code.
  • In case, the applicant is unable to purchase prospectus, he/she must pay a voucher of Rs. 500/- and upload its paid copy for Admission Application submission.
  • Soft/E-copy of Prospectus (Fall 2020) is available on the VU website .

VUP Helping IPH In COVID-19 TestingPunjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid  inaugurated a Bio-Safety Level-3 (BSL-3) laboratory at the Institute of Public Health (IPH).
A delegation from Virtual University of Pakistan (VUP) led by Rector Virtual University, Mr. Naeem Tariq attended the inauguration ceremony along with HOD of Bioscience department Dr. Tanveer Hussain, Dr. Asif Nadeem(Associate Professor Biotechnology VUP) and Mr. Farhan Nasir.
Under the supervision of Dr. Tanveer VUP is helping IPH in COVID-19 testing. Moreover, Virtual University of Pakistan has gifted IPH the most demanding machine of the time RT PCR device. Speaking on this occasion Rector Virtual University, Mr. Naeem Tariq said that his biotechnology and bioscience team will help IPH in every aspect to fight against this epidemic COVID-19.
Dr.  Yasmin Rashid appreciated the efforts of all the stakeholders. She said the government is trying hard to enhance the province’s testing capacity. The Minister said every institution will have to play its role in the fight against the coronavirus.
She said the total number of people who have contracted the virus in the province has reached 5,730, of whom 1,380 have recuperated from the disease so far. As many as 75,000 tests have been conducted in the province till recently, she added. Dr. Yasmin Rashid said the province is capable of conducting 4,000 to 5,000 tests a day.
